There’s more to an image
than what you see.
A photo can carry a location. An AI image can carry a prompt, a software name or a record of how it was made.
Unmetaimage creates a fresh copy without those embedded details. The picture stays yours. So does the choice of what to share.

Clear answers. No hidden details.
What metadata does Unmetaimage remove?
The tool re-encodes your image into a fresh file, leaving behind source EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, supported PNG text fields and embedded C2PA Content Credentials. These fields can contain camera details, prompts, software names and other information. The new file still contains the technical data needed to display an image.
Will this make an AI image undetectable?
No. Removing embedded metadata is different from removing invisible watermarks or changing what a visual AI detector sees. Platforms may still identify an image as AI-generated or recover its provenance from external records.
Will my image look the same?
We keep the format and pixel dimensions, including transparency in PNG and WebP. JPEG and WebP are re-encoded at high quality, which can slightly alter pixels and file size. Color rendering may also change. Your original file is never overwritten.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Image processing and ZIP creation happen in your browser. We do not send your images to a server, store them remotely or use them to train AI.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free to use without an account. Add up to 20 images per batch, with a 20 MB limit per file. Very large images and animated files are not supported. Clear the finished batch to process more.
